Snohomish County has many activities to ring in the Holiday Season and warm the heart with the Yule Tide Sprit. With all the many activities around the county it is difficult to choose what to do and where to go.
The Everett Theater will be performing a timeless classic, a Christmas Carol in what they are calling “an ingenious and theatrically dazzling new adaptation of this great classic”. Gather up the whole family and watch as Ebenezer Scrooge has a change of heart and discover the true meaning of Christmas.
Warm Beach is hosting its annual Lights of Christmas. With over 1 million lights, yours eyes will be dazzled with the many light displays as Victorian Carolers serenade your ears and heart. Warm Beach also offers over night lodging so your family, or that special someone, does not have to rush through the experience.
With our rich boat culture and access to the Puget Sound the Everett Yacht Club and Mukilteo Yacht Club will again be hosting their annual Lighted Boat Parades. Go down to the docks and watch either from Anthony’s in Everett or Ivar’s in Mukilteo for an evening light display.
With winter approaching, and snow predicted this weekend, there is nothing like heading into the Cascades and playing in the fresh falling snow. Head east from Marysville to Granite Falls and onto the Mountain Loop Highway. From there you can head up Mt. Pilchuck just after Blue Bridge and Green Gables or continue towards Monte Cristo for sledding and snow man making until your hearts content (one of my favorite past times).
