This last weekend, Saturday the 25th, my girlfriend and I went to test ourselves at Adventura Consulting’s challenge course and zipline. Located in Woodinville Washington, and next to the Redhook Brewery (thank goodness), the Challenge Course and Zipline Adventure was about 30 minutes from Marysville down Highway 9. Needless to say, it was super easy to get to and if you have been to the Redhook Brewery then just park in the lot and walk to the backside of the brewery. Bam! You’ve found the Challenge Course.
After walking up to the challenge course I opened my mouth and said “I thought it would be bigger”. What I didn’t know is how the course tests one’s nerves and balancing skills. Joy and I did one of the most difficult high wire challenges that required us to walk backwards and soon I was singing a different tune. One of huffing and puffing with wobbly knees. I am happy to say we both succeeded without falling that challenge and the rest of the course.
There are many other challenges and girls as young as 9 were out there doing the course as well. So no matter what your age, the course is able to be completed even if you wanted to bypass the more difficult obstacles. My personal favorite was the zipline and now have done one I am addicted I must seek out more summer adventures. The staff was friendly, helpful, and funny – I keep laughing at the word “furniture” and when you go you’ll know what I mean – making the experience memorable.
Now two days later, a little soreness remains and now researching other adventure trips for the summer, winter is already taken with snow skiing. So if you need something to do, I highly recommend Adventura Consulting’s Challenge Course and Zipline – keep it fun and safe outside and enjoy all that Washington has to offer.

The hardest challenge where you had to walk backwards while balancing on a high wire.

Swinging steps where they had to be traversed sideways.

High wire with many hand holds – easier version of picture 2.

Many swinging steps and more difficult than picture 3.

Easy high wire but check out the action shot with a guy jumping to the Tarzan swing.

A look down at the turf. Good thing you’re strapped onto a safety line at all times.

Adventura Consulting staff helping Joy with the zipline – Sorry I forgot your name!

Adventura Consulting staff thinking it’s already drinking time LOL just kidding – Sorry I forgot your name!

All pictures were taken with a GoPro HD Hero.
