Condominium Projects in Marysville
For the most part Snohomish County is most known for its ability to offer affordable single family housing. But as the county increases in population cities will have to make plans for the future growth. In the southern cities of Snohomish County there has been change going on for some time.
Bothell, Mill Creek, Lynnwood and Everett have been issuing more condominium permits as well as construction shopping complexes as business parks to reduce commutes as well as increase population density.
In the northern cities this is a relatively new beginning and Marysville looks to be the next transitional city. AHM Development LLC is looking to kick off a project that will be “the first of its kind in Marysville”; it will include a retail, hotel as well as residential condominium complex of 198 units northeast of 116th.
Marysville has been a little slow on encouraging residential downtown development but if AHM can put the plan together it will make a positive contribution to the city.
Another major item for Marysville is the closing of two lumber mills, Welco Lumber and Interfor Pacific, on the Ebey waterfront. This opens up a lot of opportunity for the city of Marysville to create downtown “identity” as well as a “parklike atmosphere” that could attract open air style businesses with condominiums on top.
Projects like these take advantage of Snohomish County’s many natural water ways and Puget Sound access.
