Finally, I successfully navigated the tricky waters of an invitation, lol … my girlfriend asked me, to go to the Great Wolf Lodge seeing as it would be odd to go alone. What can I say I’m a kid at heart. The Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park resort for kids and adult kids alike. Complete with the Howling Tornado and a handful of smaller water slides, variety of restaurants, exceptional lodging, and a interactive game play called Magi Quest. With so much to do you and the kids will not have any shortness of activity.
We arrived on a Sunday, due to work schedules, and took advantage of the ever shrinking weekend crowds and stayed through Monday evening – short yet eventful trip. The kid’s primary objective was the water park and who could blame them. After checking in, we spent the next 4 hours racing down the slides, jumping over the tsunamis in the wave pool, and watching unexpected guests get drenched by the massive water bucket – seen one family get blasted while taking a family photo.
Being waterlogged and ready for some dinner, we all put on pajamas and headed out for pizza and chocolate milk, strangely enough mine tasted a lot like Mac & Jacks, and enjoyed more laughs and really great service. Finishing up dinner it was now time for the 8 o’clock song and story time show. Located at the base clock tower, the girls enjoyed the song and story show as well as pictures with Wally the Wolf (get there early as it will fill up). The room was a welcome site after an eventful day and we enjoyed a quiet night with the Disney Channel and comfy beds. Personally, I think the Great Wolf Lodge is quite the place for families looking to enjoy activities away from the home.
