Grove Street Elementary

This morning I got the time to drive by the City of Marysville’s new construction project, Grove Street Elementary, on the corner of Grove Street and 67th. There is quite a bit of information available through the school district’s website and it is surprising to see construction really get off to a great start.

Driving by over a matter of a few weeks shows the change from an empty over grown lot and old driving range. Now it shows a neatly cleared and organized building area that is ready for rebar and concrete.

Grove Street Elementary is scheduled for approx. 550 students in a 54,150 sq/ft building designed by Hutteball & Oremus, a Architectural firm in Kirkland, WA. Allied Construction is the contractor on the project with the goal to have the school completed in Fall 2008 and from the looks to be right on track.
