Eastern Washington has many destinations to enjoy and with the lack of traffic it is simple to get from one place to the next. While at our annual Soap Lake camping trip, the group decided to hit a new waterpark (last year we went to Euphrata’s Splash Zone) – Moses Lake’s Surf ‘N Slide.
Surf ‘n Slide was a nice waterpark as it had a kiddie area, lap pool and general play area, 2 waterslides, 2 diving boards, 1 shoot slide, a lazy river, and an artificial surfing wave and plenty of seating. The waterpark also had concessions, however, Surf ‘N Slide was not opposed to patrons bringing in their own coolers and food. Nice treat to keep the costs down.
I spent most of the time on the diving boards, waterslides, and even attempted the surfing. The surfing is tougher than it looks yet funner than heck. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any video of me eating waves but maybe next time. The younger kids, spent most of their time in the kiddie area and the lazy river (which is more like a circle than a river).
All-in-all it was a great way to spend a hot summer day on the eastern part of the State.
