Hi Lacey, I think a lot of people are hoping the tax credit will be extended because they are 1) ready to make an offer 2) or they will be ready after the first of the year. The announcement of the current tax credits where retro actively placed by the government so it wasn't until the buyers purchased their home the announcement was made. I bet the eyes of the nation will be watching very close come the end of Nov.

My name is Lacey and I live in Alabama. My fiance and I are trying to buy a house before the tax credit is over but we want to get 100% financing. In the great state of Alabama our USDA loans are behind by a month and we are about to put in a offer on a house and we wont be able to get the most affordable financing for us if the government doesn't extend the 8 thousand tax credit that we need. We are hoping and praying that they will extend it!
