Providence Health & Service-Wa Marysville / Smokey PointHave you been curious about the dirt work along 172nd in Lakewood over the past years? If so, you're not alone.

Many folks we've talked to have been more than interested and we all have heard our fair share of rumors. So we decided to do more research as previous attempts never alluded to who might be the owner, other than a LLC.

Today, it was noticed that the corner of the 172nd and 23rd Ave NE that Providence Health & Services-W owns 2 parcels totaling 9.55 acres - the south eastern side of the round-a-bout and across from Hobby Lobby.

While its unknown what type of services would be there, it is good to read the lots are not owned by another apartment investor - traffic in the area is pretty bad right now.

Do you have any thoughts on the 172nd development that you'd like to share? If so, the comments below are open.

Updated 2/21/23: This finding was also published on our Twitter account @SnoCoLiving and it received an reply.

@MoleRadke shared a screenshot from Mapbox showing the owner being Josephine Sunset Home.

We found the information intriguing and cross refrenced our NWMLS data with Snohomish County records and here are the findings.

The NWMLS is reporting the owner to Providence Health & Service-W.

Providence Health & Services-W Smokey Point/Marysville

However, the Snohomish County Assessors page has the Tax Payer as Josephine Sunset Home.

So it looks like a adult family home could be the plan yet I know many are hoping for early child care or another type of health care facility.

UPDATE: 3/8/2023

Traveling south and by Crystal Tree Village and the Lakewood Meadow Condo, there is a new construction development being built. After driving through and then conducting some online research, the neighborhood is named Sather Farms, I assume after the previous land owners, and is being built by Huseby Homes.
